Working in the Saint-Eustache region, I often have the opportunity to go for a walk, store, go to a restaurant, attend a cultural event or simply stroll through a park. So I know St-Eustache well enough to be able to suggest some interesting activities and destinations. My name is Chantal Vaillancourt, real estate broker in Saint-Eustache<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, and here are my Saint-Eustache favorites<\/strong> to help you have a good time and take full advantage of all that this typical municipality of the Lower Laurentians has to offer.<\/p>\n

Historic destination<\/h2>\n

Do you love history?<\/strong> Then be sure to visit Manoir Globensky<\/strong><\/a>. This former seigniorial manor house (1861-1865) now houses the Maison de la culture et du patrimoine de Saint-Eustache<\/a> and the Espace mus\u00e9al du manoir Globensky<\/a>. As part of your expedition, you’ll discover the oldest flour mill in North America still in operation, powered exclusively by water! I’m talking, of course, about the L\u00e9gar\u00e9 Mill<\/strong><\/span> (1762). Finally, immerse yourself in Quebec’s political history with a visit to the Ch\u00e9nier-Sauv\u00e9 House<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, a must-see heritage site in Old Saint-Eustache. With these three destinations, you can learn more about the region’s fascinating history. You’ll discover exhibits and artifacts that tell the story of Saint-Eustache and its inhabitants.<\/p>\n

Outdoors destination\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For outdoor enthusiasts<\/strong>: looking for a place to enjoy nature and escape the stresses of everyday life? Look no further than Saint-Eustache, a town located just 30 minutes from Montreal, which offers a multitude of outdoor activities for all tastes and levels. For starters, there’s the Parc Nature Saint-Eustache<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, which now includes the Richard-Giroux cross-country ski and snowshoe trails. Then there’s promenade Paul-Sauv\u00e9<\/strong><\/a> on the banks of the Rivi\u00e8re des Mille \u00celes. This park offers a splendid view of the Rivi\u00e8re des Mille-\u00celes and is a great place to take a stroll. In summer, the descent can be used for water-based activities. There’s also the Parc de la Rivi\u00e8re-des-Mille-\u00celes, Secteur Parc Bois\u00e9 des Moissons<\/strong><\/a><\/span>: near several small islands, discover new landscapes and explore unexplored shores. Enjoy the best that nature has to offer in the Parc Bois\u00e9 des Moissons sector, home to some of the region’s greatest biodiversity. Venture into the bayous nestled between the islands. And don’t forget the famous Parc national d\u2019Oka<\/a><\/strong><\/span> (SEPAQ), just a few minutes away. Discover the 40 km of trails that criss-cross an area rich in history and biodiversity. You can admire the Lac des Deux Montagnes<\/strong>, Mont Saint-Hilaire<\/strong> and Mont Roya<\/strong>l. Parc National Oka<\/strong> also offers canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming (beach”), cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.<\/p>\n

“Between two property visits, a short walk along Promenade Paul-Sauv\u00e9 is a great way to recharge my batteries,” says Chantal.<\/p><\/div>\n

Gourmet destination<\/h2>\n

Gourmets will be delighted to sample local delicacies<\/strong>. A visit to the Old Saint-Eustache Public market<\/a>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span>is a must. It’s the ideal place to discover fresh local produce, baked goods and other gourmet specialties. In another article and in her video clip : Chantal reported that there were 11 restaurants serving lunch. There are good restaurants too. You’ll find them all on Trip Advisor<\/a><\/strong> or Resto Montr\u00e9al<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
